Analysing a title sequence

James Bond- goldfinger

Gold looking people reflect on the title. The music is actually about the goldfinger, which makes the sequence more unique.Starts the same way as it ends so it reinforces the importance of the beginning.Scenes of the film (the characters of the film) are in the gold figurines, which is quite unusual, rather than showing the characters just as they are.

The only fault i would have with this is that It goes on for too long.

The avengers

I like the fact that the music reflects the object- which makes us think that there is going to be something to do with war because of the weapons.
Although I already know that it is not my kind of film because this looks like sci-fi war thriller and I don’t like sci-fi, i do like the idea of how the sequence was constructed.

Mentiras Piadosas

I like the fact that the writing just appears on the wall and contrast with the shadow and then on another object. The music sounds a bit amusing, the sort that we would hear on a child’s fair, which suggests humor.Everything seems to be black and grey, which reflects the black humor that this film about.
 Panic room

Bid titles that mirror the big buildings, which tells us that this story is about a building or inside a building. The big letters suggests how big the buildings are, and dangerous.
The music is very tensed, which is a typical convention of a thriller, so straight away we know it is going to be something that is going to make an impact and we can at this point guess what sub genre this thriller is- psychological thriller.

Dead wood

This is my favourite title sequence out of these becasue there are lots of things going on at once. There is horse running through the woods and its loose, at The very beginning we can see fire reflecting in the mud, which we can through out this story.
Then we get to see blood pouring down which shows danger. The music is very western like, and quite quick which reflects on the amount of things that were going on in that scene. The music also reflects on the location because it looks like that this story is going to be held in some sort of a village.
